Postgraduate Funding in Philosophy at Edinburgh
The Department of Philosophy at the University of Edinburgh has a number of funding awards
available for the coming academic year for students at both Masters (MSc) and PhD level. These
include:
• AHRC Awards: We have 3 full PhD awards and 1 MSc award for students starting in 2010.
• Philosophy Scholarship Awards: We will be offering at least 3 of these awards to PhD students

AHRC Doctoral Studentship in Philosophy at Cardiff University
Cardiff University has available an AHRC Doctoral Studentship in Philosophy. The award is open to students planning to commence their PhD in October 2010.
AHRC awards for doctoral programmes are available for up to 3 years (less if you have already completed part of your PhD programme). The awards cover full home/EU fees and include a maintenance stipend (currently £13,290 per annum for full-time students). The awards are available to both full-time and part-time students.
